This recipe is perfect hot or cold for any lover of sweet and fruity tea! Im particularly proud of this recipe as I created something I really like despite not really being into fruit tea (with the exception of citrus).
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups loose leaf green tea
3/4 of a cup dried strawberries (freeze dried or air/oven dried, I prefer the latter)
3/4 of a cup dried mango (same again)
4 heaped tsp dark brown sugar
Dried mint (optional)
Ice (optional)
Honey (optional)
Milk (optional)
Place the strawberries, sugar and mango into a blender and blend into a powder. Then add the green tea and blend again until fine and combined.
To serve hot, use a cafetière or loose leaf tea pot or simply a cup and a filter. Steep for 5 minutes. I like to add a sprinkling of dried mint to the tea leaves before adding the water but you don't have to :-) Add milk if you want although most fruit teas don't need it this one works fine with or without!
To serve cold, steep the tea as usual, then add ice cubes, fresh mint and some honey to taste and milk if you prefer your iced tea with milk.
