Lemon and Black Pepper Semifreddo!

Today was a pretty labour intensive recipe, however it was all worth it for the end result. I started with a normal vanilla semifreddo base recipe and then decided it might be nice to add some fresh and unusual flavours for it. After realising lemon would be a good choice I came to the conclusion that the traditional, admittedly usually savoury, pairing of lemon, black pepper and cream would work and so set to work. After adding a cheat gingerbread base, crushed up ginger nuts and butter, I left it to freeze before adding lemon zest on top. The end result came out looking and tasting great! Definitely going on the menu!
