Christmas In a Cup

First Monday Blend recipe!! I know it's a bit early but I couldn't resist sharing this recipe it's perfect for any time the year and tastes great.


Ingredients

1/2 cup loose leaf black tea

Peel of 2 oranges (dried)

3 tsp chopped ginger root (dried)

2 vanilla pods


Recipe


  1. Peel your oranges into long strips and slice your ginger into small thin discs.

  2. Either place in an oven at 150 C (10-15 mins for the orange peel and 25-30 mins for the ginger) until dried or leave out in a warm place for a couple of days.

  3. Add to your tea leaves and then finely chop the vanilla pods and add.

  4. Place in a mixer or blender to ensure the ingredients are evenly distributed.

  5. Either enjoy straight away, or if you want a deeper flavour seal in a box or any airtight container for 1-2 weeks and then enjoy!

  6. To prepare it I recommend adding 2 tsp to a cup and pouring water directly on then straining after 5 minutes of steeping.
